New Project Guide

Are you adding a new project to the EcoSuite? See below for helpful Guidance:

What is the Difference between a Project, Site and System?

  • A Project is Defined by its LLC. If you are using two LLCs for two systems - they are two separate projects.

    • Example - River of Life Canopy and Rooftop (2 Projects each with 1 Site → 1 System) Two separate LLCs and therefore two separate projects in the EcoSuite.

  • A Site is defined by Physical Point of Interconnection (POI). If you have separate Interconnections. You have separate Sites.

    • Example - Silber (in Gainesville FL) (1 Project, 2 Sites each with 1 System). This can be thought of like a “package deal.” A Single LLC that pursued two separate interconnections for Systems on different Sites.

  • A System represents a contiguous solar array within the same Site. You may have have multiple Systems on a site.

    • Example - South Mill Champs (1 Project, 1 Site, 2 Systems) - Same LLC, Same POI, Separate system premises (ie rooftop and Ground Mount)

New Project Naming Convention

  • Project Code

    • Project Codes are defined by the Name of the Project Co LLC

      • eg. Ecogy MA III LLC = MA3

    • Codes shall use Numbers NOT Roman Numerals

    • Project Codes Cannot Change Once Set

    • New Projects that are replacing previously canceled projects and using the same LLC must be tagged with a letter - the first replacement being tagged with "b", second with "c" and so on.

  • Site Code

    • Should be an abbreviated version of the Project Name

      • Example (Contech Medical Site Code = CONT)

  • System Code

    • Identifies the type and Number of Systems

      • Example (Ground Mount = G1; Rooftop = R1 etc. etc.)
